For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
JUNK CAR. Any motor vehicle which:
(1) Shall be an “abandoned vehicle” as that term is defined in I.C. 9-13-2-1;
(2) Does not bear a currently valid license plate, and is located either on public property or on private property in a location visible from public property and not in a garage or other building for a period of 30 days; or
(3) Has the engine, transmission, differential, wheels or any other operating component removed or disabled so as to make the vehicle inoperable and which is located either on public property or on private property in a place visible from public property and not in a garage or other building for a period of 30 days.
