(A) All golf carts operated on city streets shall have the following minimum safety equipment:
(1) A rearview and sideview mirrors;
(2) A bright orange flag affixed to the rear of the golf cart that is a minimum of six feet in height from the roadway;
(3) A slow moving vehicle sign that conforms to the provisions of I.C. 9-21-9-2, affixed to the rear of the golf cart;
(4) Brake lights and turn signals; and
(5) If operated after dark or before dawn, headlights and taillights.
(6) A flashing light, at the highest point of the vehicle, on at all times (day or night).
(B) All of the minimum safety equipment described above shall be functional, and in use at all times while the golf cart is in operation on city streets.
