(A) (1) Each entity desiring to become a customer of the town’s Wastewater Department at a particular location not then served by that department shall first complete and submit a written application to connect to the town’s wastewater collection and treatment system on the town’s form then available and approved for that purpose.
(2) The permit shall be issued by the Clerk-Treasurer’s office when all applicable charges, including the following initial connection charge, have been paid, the user is found to be in compliance with all then applicable town requirements for its Wastewater Department customers, and prior to the physical connection to the town’s system.
(B) An initial charge shall be collected from each user in the amount of $1,600 per equivalent dwelling unit, or EDU, for that connection.
(C) An equivalent dwelling unit, or EDU, shall be equal to or mean one single family living unit, a residential house, apartment or condominium, that can reasonably be expected to discharge not in excess of 310 gallons per day into the town’s wastewater collection and treatment system.
