§ 33.02 ENFORCEMENT FEES AND ASSESSMENTS.
   The town’s Marshal, Assistant Marshal or Deputy Marshal shall hereafter charge, collect and remit to the Clerk-Treasurer the following fees which shall be processed by the Clerk-Treasurer as stated.
   (A)   Vehicle inspections.
      (1)   A service charge or fee in the amount of $5 is hereby imposed and shall be charged for each vehicle inspection hereafter made by a law enforcement officer of the town, pursuant to or as specifically provided in state law. The inspections may be, but are not limited to, those provided for in I.C. 9-17-2-1 and 140 I.A.C. 6-1-3 and 6-1-9.
      (2)   The revenue from the fees established in division (A)(1) above shall be receipted by the Clerk-Treasurer of the town or the Clerk-Treasurer’s designee, and deposited in the town’s Vehicle Inspection Fund.
      (3)   The Town Council shall appropriate the monies in the Vehicle Inspection Fund for law enforcement purposes, or other purposes, as may be then permitted by applicable law.
   (B)   Accident and police reports.
      (1)   A fee of $5 shall be paid for each accident report and police report furnished to a person entitled thereto.
      (2)   All such fees shall be deposited in the town’s previously established Accident Report Fund, to be expended pursuant to applicable law.
