§ 34.05 DISASTER RECOVERY PLAN.
   In the event the town’s computer and programs are destroyed by fire, tornado, or other damage, various processing of accounting information such as payment of bills, payroll, receipting of funds, mapping, etc. will need to continue. The following is a plan of action that will be utilized for this situation which will help ensure continued processing until computer resources are again available.
   (A)   The Town Hall is located at 141 W. Third Street, Roanoke, Indiana in a building previously occupied by the town’s court. The unaudited files, petty cash, and undeposited payments are kept in locked filing cabinets. All other town documents are in a locked office at 126 N. Main Street, Roanoke, Indiana (also known as "Old Town Hall").
   (B)   Data from the Keystone software systems (utility, fund, and payroll) is backed up on a memory stick daily. The most recent memory stick is taken off-site at the end of the workday. This data is also sent to Keystone monthly. All other data is saved daily to a portable external storage drive which is taken off-site daily.
   (C)   The Superintendent of Operations is responsible for updating their data daily on mapping and backing up to the Ziptility servers. The Superintendent of Operations also backs up the data from his or her computer daily on a cloud-based system called OneDrive.
   (D)   The Police Department computer data (including laptops in police vehicles) are backed up through Huntington County Dispatch using Spillman Technologies.
   (E)   The town office has acquired a generator in the event the power is unavailable for a period of time. At the time of this section, it has not been installed.
   (F)   Should the town be the target/victim of a cyber-security event, the town’s Primary Reporter of Cyber Security Incidents, or their designee, shall, within 48 hours of the incident occurring, contact the state Office of Technology and file a report.    (G)   This written disaster recovery plan shall be reviewed and updated regularly.
