The subdivider shall provide a sump pump drainage line that serves each lot in the subdivision, and each lot shall be provided with a connection to the sump pump drainage line. The sump pump drainage line shall be designed to receive effluent from sump pumps and shall meet the following specifications:
(A) The drainage line shall be constructed of PVC pipe having a minimum diameter of six inches (6"), unless the anticipated effluent shall require a larger diameter, and shall be installed below the frost line.
(B) The drainage line shall be designed to discharge into either a storm sewer or a drainage ditch.
(C) Manholes or clean out shall be provided on the drainage line at a maximum spacing of five hundred feet (500') and shall be located in the street right of way or an easement accessible for maintenance. For subdivisions outside the village limits, the maintenance of the drainage line shall be the responsibility of the property owner.
(D) The drainage line shall be installed in accordance with the plans and specifications that have been submitted by the subdivider and approved by the duly appointed village engineer.
(E) The subdivider shall obtain any required permits from any other agency having jurisdiction, including the Illinois environmental protection agency. (Ord. 2005-09, 12-19-2005)
