(A) A public sanitary sewage collection and treatment system shall be provided as follows:
1. Where the subdivision is reasonably accessible to the village sanitary sewer system and is so located that it can be annexed to the village, the subdivider shall provide the subdivision with a complete sanitary sewage collection system connected to such existing public sanitary sewer system.
2. Where no such connection to the village system can be made, the subdivider shall provide the subdivision with a complete sanitary sewage collection system and treatment plant, approved by the Illinois environmental protection agency, with adequate provision for the maintenance of such plant.
(B) The sanitary sewer system shall be installed in accordance with the plans and specifications that have been submitted by the subdivider and approved by the duly appointed village engineer, which shall comply with the most recent edition of the "Standard Specifications For Water And Sewer Main Construction In Illinois".
(C) Upon completion of the sanitary sewer system installation, a registered professional engineer shall certify that the sanitary sewer system complies with all the standards required by the village and the Illinois environmental protection agency. One certified copy of the plans for such sanitary sewer system as built shall be filed with the village. The subdivider shall obtain any required permits from any other agency having jurisdiction, including the Illinois environmental protection agency.
(D) Storm sewers and sump pump drainage lines shall not be connected to sanitary sewers. (Ord. 2005-09, 12-19-2005)
