10-2-4: ZONING OF PUBLIC WAYS:
All streets, alleys, public ways, and rights of way, including railroad rights of way, if not otherwise specifically designated, shall be deemed to be in the same zone as the property immediately abutting such street, alley, public way, or right of way. Where the centerline of a street, alley, public way, or right of way serves as a district boundary, the zoning of such areas, when not otherwise specifically designated, shall be deemed to be the same as that of the abutting property up to such centerline. Whenever any street, alley, public way, or right of way is vacated, the zoning district abutting each side of such street, alley, public way, or right of way shall be automatically extended to the centerline of such a vacation, and all area included in the vacated area shall thereafter be subject to all appropriate regulations of the extended districts.
