Such payment may be made to the arresting officer, and a numbered receipt shall be issued for all money so received, and such money shall be promptly turned over to the treasurer to be used in the manner provided for the disposition of fines for traffic violations.
In the event of refusal of the accused to pay the arresting officer, they shall have the option of paying either the village treasurer or village clerk within twenty four (24) hours of such time the offense was committed.
In the event accused fails to pay the one dollar ($1.00) fine within the prescribed time, the arresting officer may sign a complaint for the issuance of a warrant against the offender. (Ord. 66-3, 5-2-1966)
