The extraterritorial planning jurisdiction as shown on the official zoning maps for the city was adopted by the City Council on June 20, 2017. The previous official zoning maps for the city adopted by City Council on February 11, 1992, were expanded to include areas one and two, as shown on the Extraterritorial Planning Jurisdiction Map adopted by the City Council on March 14, 1995, and also described in Attachment A of the resolution adopted by the City Council on March 14, 1995, and adopted by the County Board of Commissioners on April 3, 1996.
