§ 91.51 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER.
   The Animal Control Officer shall be charged with the responsibility of:
   (A)   Enforcing in the city all state and city policies, ordinances and resolutions relating to dogs, cats and other animals;
   (B)   Cooperating with the County Health Director and assisting in the enforcement of the laws of the state with regard to animals and especially with regard to vaccination of dogs and cats against rabies and the confinement or leashing of vicious animals (without limiting the foregoing, reference is particularly made to the state laws as set out and contained in G.S. Articles 1 and 2 of Ch. 67; §§ 153A-153 and 130A-184 to 130A-200);
   (C)   Investigating cruelty or abuse with regard to dogs, cats and other animals;
   (D)   Making such canvasses of the city as it deems necessary for the purpose of ascertaining that all dogs are duly and properly listed for tax purposes and that all dogs and cats are vaccinated against rabies; and
   (E)   Such other and further duties as duly designated by the Chief of Police, City Manager or City Council.
