§ 32.05  DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT; REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION.
   (A)   Commission Created. Pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14-3, there is hereby created a town department of redevelopment controlled by a redevelopment commission, to be known as the “Roachdale Redevelopment Commission”, with all the powers and duties set forth in I.C. 36-7-14 and state law generally for municipal redevelopment commissions. This specifically includes, therefore, the powers set forth in I.C. 36-7-14-11 and 36-7-14.2.
      (1)   The Commission shall consist of five members to be appointed pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14-6.1 as follows.
         (a)   The Town Council shall appoint two members.
         (b)   The President of the Town Council shall appoint three members, plus a non-voting school board advisory member as required by I.C. 36-7-14-6.1(d).
         (c)   Each member shall serve for a one-year term, starting January 1 after her or his appointment, but a member shall continue in office until her or his successor is duly appointed and qualified.
      (2)   The appointing authority may remove a member from the Commission at any time, with or without cause or advance notice.
      (3)   The Commission shall be organized and operate as required by I.C. 36-7-14.
     (B)   Initial Commission duties. As required by I.C. 36-7-14-8 et seq., the Commission shall:
      (1)   Organize and elect officers; and
      (2)   Take all other actions required by law of a redevelopment commission.
