§ 70.31  DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY.
   (A)   When conditions are such that a snow emergency, as defined above, is imminent or occurring, the Town Superintendent, or if he or she is not available, then the President of the Town Council, may declare a snow emergency in and for the town.
   (B)   When a snow emergency is declared, notice of such declaration shall be given by the town to the public through the fastest and most effective means of public information used for announcing weather and other emergencies. At the discretion of the town officials, these means may include notifying local radio stations, posting on websites and through social media and/or posting written notice in appropriate public locations. It shall be the duty of persons with vehicles parked on the streets designated below to check as to whether a snow emergency has been declared.
   (C)   Nothing in this subchapter supersedes a travel warning or travel ban declared by the county.
