There is hereby established a board of appeals for the village, which board shall be the same as that referenced in the Riverwoods zoning ordinance. The board of appeals shall consist of a chairman and six (6) members appointed by the village president, subject to confirmation by the trustees.
Commencing on June 1, 2009, the term of office of the chairman and three (3) members of the board of appeals appointed at such time shall be for four (4) years or until their respective successors are appointed; and the terms of office of the other three (3) members of the board of appeals then appointed shall be for two (2) years or until their respective successors are appointed. Commencing on June 1, 2011, the terms of office of all members of the board of appeals then and thereafter appointed shall be for four (4) years or until their respective successors are appointed.
