10-5-13: INSPECTION REQUIRED:
   A.   Inspection: All improvements shall be subject to inspection by the Village Engineer both during the course of construction and after construction is complete. The Village Engineer shall have authority over materials of construction, methods of construction and workmanship to ensure compliance with working drawings and specifications. The subdivider shall provide for reasonable tests and proof of quality of materials as requested by the Village Engineer. Upon due cause, the Village Engineer may require that work be suspended and due cause shall include weather conditions, questionable materials or construction, methods of construction, workmanship or nonadherence to the approved plans and specifications.
   B.   Subdivider Responsibility: Approval by the Village Engineer or absence of inspection shall in no way relieve the subdivider of full responsibility for adherence by his contractors to specifications and working drawings nor for high standards of materials, methods and workmanship.
   C.   Approval Not Acceptance: Approval by the Village Engineer shall not be deemed acceptance of the improvement by the Village. Acceptance shall be only by resolution by the Board of Trustees.
   D.   Notification: It shall be the responsibility of the subdivider or his contractor to notify the Village Engineer when work is to be started and to request assignment of an inspector. The initial notification that a particular improvement is to be started shall be in writing and shall reach the Village Engineer forty eight (48) hours in advance of the date that inspection is to begin.
