10-2-2-4: FORM AND CONTENT:
The preliminary plat shall be legibly accurately drawn at a scale not smaller than one hundred feet to the inch (100' = 1"). The preliminary plat shall contain at least the following information:
   A.   Proposed name of subdivision (not a duplication of any subdivision heretofore recorded in the Village).
   B.   Legal description of property encompassing proposed subdivision.
   C.   Vicinity map at a scale of not smaller than two thousand feet to the inch (2,000' = 1") showing existing subdivision, roads, section lines, corporate limits, and existing utilities in the adjoining areas.
   D.   Names and addresses of the owner, owner of record (including the names and addresses of all beneficiaries of any land trust, accompanied by a certified copy of the trust agreement and all amendments thereto), the subdivider, and designer who prepared the plan. The proof of ownership shall be in the form of a certified copy of a title insurance policy or a tract search, supplied by a company in the business of investigating land titles, no more than sixty (60) days old at the time of said filing. In the event the title appears in the name of a land trust, the trustee or a beneficiary thereof shall identify each beneficiary of such land trust by name and address and define his interest therein.
   E.   Date.
   F.   North point.
   G.   Boundary line of the total area proposed to be subdivided indicated by solid heavy line and the total approximate acreage encompassed thereby.
   H.   Location, widths and names of all existing or prior platted streets or other public ways, utility rights of way, parks and other public open spaces, easements, section lines and Village boundary lines, within or adjacent to the property. Location of buildings and structures or houses within the property.
   I.   Boundary lines of adjacent parcels of unsubdivided or subdivided land, showing ownership where possible.
   J.   Existing zoning of proposed subdivision and adjacent property.
   K.   Existing and proposed contours at one foot (1') intervals on USGS datum.
   L.   Layout and widths of proposed streets with names and the layout and widths of the crosswalkways and easements.
   M.   Lots intended to be dedicated for public use or set aside for use of property owners in the subdivision and size thereof.
   N.   Lots showing all dimensions, approximate areas and numbered.
   O.   Building setbacks, showing dimensions.
   P.   Easements to be provided for any and all public utilities. Proper continuity for the utilities from block to block shall be maintained.
   Q.   Existing sanitary sewers, storm sewers, septic system, drainage channels, springs, wells (active or inactive), farm drain tiles, water mains, culverts, or other known underground facilities on the parcel being considered and on adjacent properties.
   R.   Location and description of all permanent buildings, wooded areas, and significant topographic and natural features.
   S.   Approval Certificate: The following certificate shall be shown in the lower right-hand corner of the preliminary plat:
   APPROVAL OF PRELIMINARY PLAT
The preliminary plat of a subdivision shown hereon has received approval of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Riverwoods, Illinois, and upon compliance by the subdivider with requirements of qualifications governing the approval of the preliminary plats and with other revisions and stipulations that may be required, the Board of Trustees will receive the final plat for consideration when submitted by the subdivider in such form and within such time as required and approved by the Plan Commission.
