§ 116.13 ADMINISTRATION.
   (A)   There is hereby created the Office of Tobacco Official, who shall be an officer of the village appointed by the Village President, with the advice and consent of the Village Board, and may be a village employee. The Tobacco Official shall have a salary of $35 per hearing and his or her compensation may not be reduced during a term of office. The Tobacco Official shall have a term beginning on June 1 of each year and ending on May 31 of the succeeding year, or until his or her successor has been appointed and has qualified.
   (B)   The Tobacco Official’s duties shall include the following:
      (1)   To review license application forms and grant or deny licenses;
      (2)   To pay over to the Village Treasurer any license fees and fines received by the Tobacco Official;
      (3)   To conduct hearings on charges of violations of this chapter in accordance with this section; and
      (4)   To impose penalties for violations in accordance with § 116.14 of this chapter.
