The board shall maintain and preserve all historical monuments and markers located within the public park system or on public grounds. Skeletal remains and other artifacts uncovered within the park system shall be reported, recorded, preserved and maintained in accordance with the procedures adopted therefor by the Riverside historical commission and approved by ordinance on August 19, 1985, and as may be subsequently revised and amended from time to time.
