As used in this Chapter, the following terms are thus defined:
OWNER: Every person having the use or control of one or more taxicabs as defined in this Section.
PUBLIC PASSENGER VEHICLE: Any automobile for hire used for the transportation of passengers.
TAXICAB: A public passenger vehicle equipped with a taximeter.
TAXIMETER: A mechanical device which records and indicates a charge or fare measured by distance traveled, waiting time and extra passengers. (Ord. 2252, 10-5-1998)
