8-6-6: ACCESS TO PREMISES:
As a condition of obtaining potable water service from the Village's water system, the village manager and such employees of the village as they shall designate shall have full and free access to all parts of any premises receiving such water service, and dwellings and buildings thereon, for the purposes of shutting off or turning on of water, examining into the condition of water pipes, examining the interior and exterior of the premises for any condition that may harm the integrity of the Village's water system, including without limitation (i) improper cross connections, (ii) inadequate backflow prevention, (iii) noncompliant conditions that may negatively impact the water system or may undermine the purposes for which water service is provided, (iv) the waste of water resources, (v) inadequately insulated water pipes, and (vi) examining water meters or service on said premises, or for the purpose of reading water meters.
