Nothing in this chapter shall be deemed to limit the owner or other person in control of a public place or a place of employment from further prohibiting smoking by designating outdoor areas not subject to the restrictions in this chapter as a place where smoking is prohibited, provided that the owner or such other person shall cause signs to be posted at appropriate locations advising persons that smoking is prohibited within the designated outdoor area.
