7-2-4: LANDSCAPE WASTE AND COLLECTION:
   (A)   The landscape waste collection season shall be from April 1 to November 30 of each year.
   (B)   The contractor shall provide once per week unlimited landscape waste collection to each residential property and multi-family property. Unlimited landscape waste collection shall include collection of unlimited quantities of bagged leaves during the fall leaf season. Landscape waste collection services are not provided to commercial properties under the village's contract with the contractor.
   (C)   Landscape waste shall be placed at the curb in front of the property, except that on property devoted to commercial purposes, such waste materials shall be placed in the rear of the premises near the rubbish receptacles. Materials shall be neatly stacked, bundled and so arranged as to prevent the same from being scattered by the wind, and shall be placed at the curb no sooner than four o'clock (4:00) P.M. of the day preceding a scheduled collection day. Prior to this time, all landscape waste shall be kept out of plain view from the street.
   (D)   Landscape waste must be segregated from other materials and packaged as follows:
      1.   That contained within village approved thirty (30) gallon or smaller containers, kraft paper bags or in bundles;
      2.   That contained in rigid containers of no more than thirty (30) gallons' capacity and that are clearly marked with a "Landscape Waste only" sticker to be provided by the contractor; and
      3.   That contained within bundles of brush:
         (a)   Not exceeding sixty (60) pounds in weight;
         (b)   Not exceeding four feet (4') in diameter;
         (c)   Containing individual branch lengths not exceeding four feet (4'); and
         (d)   Individual branch diameters not exceeding three inches (3").
Any landscape waste placed for collection not meeting the requirements herein shall not be collected.
   (E)   Christmas trees left at the designated collection point during the Christmas season, ending two (2) weeks after New Year's Day of each year, shall be collected at no additional cost.
   (F)   Dead leaves and other plant materials may be accumulated upon the premises for mulching, or other gardening purposes. (Ord. 2393, 1-21-2002)
