4-3-8: SIGN CONTROLS FOR THE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS:
Except as otherwise noted herein, the general provisions of this code applicable to all signs within the Village shall apply to signs in residential zoning districts. Where a conflict between general regulations and regulations set forth in this section exists, the regulations of this section shall control.
   (A)   The total area of allowable signs erected on any zoning lot with nonresidential or institutional principal uses in a residential zoning district shall not exceed forty (40) square feet.
   (B)   Permanent signs shall be limited to forty (40) square feet in area.
   (C)   Wall signs may not project more than twelve inches (12") from the building wall on which they are mounted.
   (D)   The total area of window signs shall not exceed fifty percent (50%) of the glazed area of the window.
   (E)   No monument or pylon sign shall exceed six feet (6') in height nor be placed any closer than five feet (5') from any property line.
   (F)   A nonilluminated sign may only be located on the vertical edge of an awning or the vertical fascia of a canopy that faces a public street. (Ord. 2874, 4-16-2015; amd. Ord. 4048, 2-16-2023)
