There is created in the Village the office of Director of Public Safety. The Director of Public Safety will oversee the Department of Police and the Department of Fire/Rescue and Emergency Services, as created by Section 2-1-1 (Departments Created) of Title 2 (Departments, Boards and Commissions), Chapter 1 (Departments, Boards, Commissions and Committees; General) of the Village Code.
