2-17-24: IMPERSONATING A POLICE OFFICER:
It shall be a misdemeanor for any person not appointed as herein provided, either as a regular police officer or as an auxiliary policeman or special policeman, to assume to act or represent himself to be a police officer, auxiliary policeman or special policeman, or to wear a star, uniform or other official badge similar to that of a police officer. (1965 Code, Sec. 12.29)
