(A) Before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, each of said officers shall subscribe to an oath in the form as required by law of officers of this village as prescribed in title 1, chapter 5 of this code.
(B) Each officer shall be covered either by a separate bond or by a blanket bond (which may include police officers and other officers and employees of the village) with surety approved by the president and board of trustees of the village and conditioned as required by law. The penal sum of the separate bond or blanket bond applicable to police officers shall not be less than the amount provided in title 1, chapter 5 of this code. (1965 Code, Sec. 12.07)
