2-15-2: POWERS:
The Planning and Zoning Commission shall have the following powers:
   (A)   To hold public hearings on requests for zoning maps or amendments to the text of title 10 of this Code and to forward its findings and recommendations on such requests to the Board of Trustees.
   (B)   To hear and make final decisions on appeals of any decision, interpretation, or determination made by the Zoning Administrator in the administration or enforcement of title 10 of this Code.
   (C)   To hear applications for special uses and to submit its findings of fact and recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
   (D)   To hear applications for variations from the regulations and restrictions contained in title 10 of this Code and to submit its findings of fact and recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
   (E)   To hear applications for variations from the regulations and restrictions contained in title 4, chapter 3 of this Code and to submit its findings of fact and recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
   (F)   To provide advisory comments pursuant to title 8, chapter 3 of this Code.
   (G)   To evaluate whether proposed landmark designation, pursuant to title 10, chapter 2 of this Code, of a building(s) or structure(s) located in the B1 Business District or the B2 Central Business District, contributes to, or detracts from, the planning goals for the district in question; and to provide a report to the Board of Trustees on that issue.
   (H)   To make recommendations to the Board of Trustees with respect to the Village's development, review, planning, and zoning processes.
   (I)   To hear, report, and/or decide all other matters referred to it by the Board of Trustees or as specified throughout title 10 or any other title of this Code.
   (J)   To exercise such other powers as are granted or reserved under the Illinois Municipal Code 1 to Plan Commissions and Zoning Boards of Appeal. (Ord. 2843, 12-19-2013)
