2-13-3: FIRE CHIEF; ATTENDANCE AT FIRES:
The fire chief shall, if in his power, attend all fires occurring in the village and, in case of his absence from any fire, the highest ranking officer on the scene at said fire shall take charge of the department and, during the absence of the fire chief, shall have and exercise all of the powers of the fire chief. (Ord. 2207, 11-17-1997)
