(A) (1) Every motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle, shall be equipped with at least 2 headlights with at least one near each side of the front of the motor vehicle.
(2) Every motorcycle shall be equipped with at least one and not more than 2 headlights.

(B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
