It shall be unlawful for any person to fail to appear in court to answer to said charge, regardless of the disposition of the charge for which the citation in lieu of arrest was issued. Conviction of a failure to appear to a citation issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a class B misdemeanor, regardless of the disposition of the charge upon which he was originally cited.
