Unless modified by the court, court orders pursuant to this chapter shall be sought according to the following minimum notice and procedure:
A. Complaint: The animal control officer, or his or her authorized representative, shall petition the court of applicable jurisdiction for the desired action by filing a complaint, together with supporting affidavits, if deemed necessary.
B. Service: The petition for the action, together with supporting affidavits, shall be served on the party against whom the action is taken at least five (5) days prior to the hearing. (Ord. 619, 6-17-2003)
