A. Discharge Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge a firearm or bow and arrow within this city, except in self-defense or in the case of any peace officer in the discharge of his duties, or any authorized official of the city for rodent control that has been approved by the city, at authorized ranges or as part of a city approved, sponsored and supervised archery class. B. Concealed Weapons:
1. License Required: The police chief, upon proof that the person applying is of good character, and upon showing that good cause exists for the issuance, may issue to such person a license to carry a concealed weapon for a period of one year from the issuance date of the license. 2. Application: The application for license must be in substantially the following form:

3. Fee For License: Each applicant for a license shall pay a fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) at the time of filing the application. The officer receiving the application shall also receive the twenty dollar ($20.00) fee and shall transmit one-half (1/2) of the fee, together with the fingerprints of the individual, to the state bureau of criminal identification. The remaining one-half (1/2) of the fee shall be transmitted to the city treasurer. (1985 Code § 13-10-5.16; amd. 2001 Code)
4. Records; Copies Transmitted To Bureau: When any license is issued, a record shall be maintained in the office of the city recorder which shall be open to public inspection. Copies of each license issued shall be filed immediately by the police chief with the state bureau of criminal identification. (Ord. 815, 9-25-2012)
