§ 50.01  DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   COLLECTOR.  A refuse collector who has entered into a contract with the city, or who has received a franchise from the city, to collect refuse within the city.
   CONTAINERIZED SERVICE.  Service approved by the City Manager, wherein the city or the collector provides a vehicle equipped for mechanical handling of one or two cubic yard containers with casters; such containers shall be furnished by the customer and shall be of a type approved by the City Manager, or rented from the city or the collector.
   GARBAGE.  All refuse accumulations of animal, fruit or vegetable matter which attend the preparation, use, cooking, dealing in or storage of meat, fish, fowl, fruits or vegetables and cans originally used for foodstuff.

   REFUSE.  Garbage, trash or both.

   REFUSE COLLECTION SERVICE OF THE CITY.  Refuse collection service provided by the city or such service provided by a collector who has entered into a contract with the city, or who holds a franchise from the city, to collect refuse within the city, depending on whether the city is providing such service with city personnel or by contract or franchise with a private collector.
   TRASH.  Weeds and grasses and all refuse; domestic discards and waste materials, including rocks, concrete, bricks, dirt, plaster and similar building materials.
