(A) Prohibited acts. No person shall discharge a gun or pistol within the city limits.
(B) Exemption. This section shall not apply to:
(1) Persons acting for any governmental unit in pursuance of duties described by law; or,
(2) Any person in defense of his or her life or the life of another person or the protection of his or her property or property entrusted to him or her by another person;
(3) Any person attacked by any vicious animal; or
(4) Any sanctioned or sponsored gunshoot, firearms training or shooting sports activity held in a proper location as so permitted by the Chief of Police.
