§ 110.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   ITINERANT MERCHANT. Any person, whether as owner, agent, consignee or employee, whether or not holding a valid license from the state, who engages in a temporary business of selling and delivering goods, wares and merchandise within the city and who, in furtherance of that purpose, hires, leases, uses or occupies any building, structure, motor vehicle, tent, railroad boxcar, boat, public room in a hotel, lodging place, apartment or shop or any street, alley or other place within the city for the exhibition and sale of goods, wares and merchandise, either privately or at public auction; provided, any merchant engaged in business for more than six months shall be conclusively presumed not to be itinerant.
   PEDDLER. Any person, whether a resident of the city or not, traveling by foot, wagon, automotive vehicle or any other type of conveyance from place to place, house to house or street to street, carrying, conveying or transporting goods, wares, merchandise, meats, fish, vegetables, fruits, garden truck or farm products and provisions, offering and exposing the same for sale from a wagon, automotive vehicle or conveyance, provided such does not apply to the sale of farm products cultivated and raised in the state by farmers who are residents of the county.
   SOLICITOR. Any individual, whether a resident of the city or not, traveling either by foot, wagon, automobile, motor truck or any other type of conveyance from place to place, house to house or street to street taking or attempting to take orders for the sale of goods, wares and merchandise or personal property of any nature, other than newspapers, whatever for future delivery or for services to be furnished or performed in the future, whether or not that individual has, carries or exposes for sale a sample of the subject of that sale or whether he or she is collecting advance payments of those sales or not. A SOLICITOR shall include any person who, for himself or another person, hires, leases, uses or occupies any building structure, tent, railroad boxcar, boat, hotel room, lodging house, apartment, shop or any other place within the city for the sole purpose of exhibiting samples and taking orders for future delivery.
   TRAVELING PHOTOGRAPHER. All concerns established within the city for temporary business only and engaged in making for sale, exchange or renumeration, views of scenery; views of buildings (interior or exterior); portraits; groups; flash lights or any other form of photographs or soliciting for the making of crayon pictures and any and all enlargement of pictures by any process.
