§ 70.01 DEFINITIONS.
   (A)   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      HIGHWAY. See STREET.
      MOTOR VEHICLE. Every vehicle which is self-propelled, except farm vehicles or implements of husbandry.
      PARK. Standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of loading or unloading, while actually engaged in that work.
      PERSON. Every natural person, firm, copartnership, association or corporation.
      PRIVATE ROAD OR DRIVEWAY. Every way or place in private ownership and used for vehicular traffic by the owner and those having express or implied permission from the owner, but not by other persons.
      STREET. The entire width between the boundary lines of every way publicly maintained when any part thereof is open to use of the public for vehicular traffic.
      TRAILER and SEMITRAILER. Every vehicle without motive power, designed for carrying property and for being drawn by a motor vehicle.
      TRUCK. Every motor vehicle designed and used or maintained primarily for the transportation of property, for a total gross weight, with load, in excess of 7,500 pounds.

   (B)   Insofar as applicable, this chapter adopts the definitions of the Indiana Code, as now amended.
