§ 34.05 DUTY OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITY OFFICER.
   The Equal Opportunity Officer shall be selected by the City Council. Specific responsibilities of the Equal Opportunity Officer include:
   (A)   Providing counseling and information to all employees, supervisory and otherwise, concerning this subchapter and how to implement personnel policies created pursuant to it.
   (B)   Enforcement responsibility for equal opportunity mandates imposed by the federal government under any and all of the federal laws, orders or regulations dealing with equal opportunity and affirmative action in the use of federal funds.
   (C)   External publicity of the city's equal opportunity and affirmative action efforts and cooperative liaison responsibilities with community groups, including those groups representing the interests of minorities, women, the aged, veterans, the disadvantaged and the handicapped.
   (D)   Responsibility for day-to-day implementation of policies and meeting of the goals and timetable established pursuant to this subchapter.
