§ 156.211 PERMITTED USES.

   (A)   Agricultural use;

   (B)   Single-family dwelling;

   (C)   Two-family dwelling;

   (D)   Multi-family dwelling;

   (E)   Manufactured home; and

   (F)   Local business uses which are primarily of a retail or service nature and specifically classified or implied in the following categories of uses: *(see note below)

      (1)   Automobile service, including:

         (a)   Public garage, but not including major repair or bodywork;

         (b)   Sales room (including mobile home or trailer sales area); and

         (c)   Repair (all indoors).

      (2)   Business service, including:

         (a)   Bank;

         (b)   Office building;

         (c)   Postal station;

         (d)   Telegraph office;

         (e)   Telephone exchange or public utility substation; and

         (f)   Utility company business office.

      (3)   Clothing service, including:

         (a)   Laundry agency;

         (b)   Self-service laundry and dry cleaning;

         (c)   Dry cleaning establishment using not more than three clothes-cleaning units, neither of which shall have a rated capacity of more than 40 pounds using cleaning fluid which is non-explosive and non-flammable;

         (d)   Dressmaking;

         (e)   Millinery;

         (f)   Tailor and pressing shop; and

         (g)   Shoe repair shop.

      (4)   Equipment service:

         (a)   Radio or television shop and sales;

         (b)   Electric appliance shop and sales; and

         (c)   Record shop and sales.

      (5)   Food service, including:

         (a)   Grocery;

         (b)   Meat market;

         (c)   Supermarket;

         (d)   Restaurant;

         (e)   Delicatessen;

         (f)   Cold storage lockers, for individual use; and

         (g)   Bakery; provided, floor area used for production shall not exceed 750 square feet.

      (6)   Personal service, including:

         (a)   Barber shop;

         (b)   Beauty shop;

         (c)   Physical fitness facility; and

         (d)   Photographic studio.

      (7)   Retail service, retail stores, generally including:

         (a)   Drug store;

         (b)   Hardware or paint store;

         (c)   Stationer;

         (d)   Newsdealer;

         (e)   Show room and sales area for articles to be sold at retail;

         (f)   Apparel shop;

         (g)   Antique shop;

         (h)   Shoe store;

         (i)   Variety store;

         (j)   Toy store;

         (k)   Jewelry store;

         (l)   Flower or garden shop; and

         (m)   Gift shop.

      (8)   Business recreational uses, including:

         (a)   Billiard room;

         (b)   Dancing academy;

         (c)   Tavern or nightclub, only in conformity with requirements of laws or ordinances governing such use; and

         (d)   Bait sales.

      (9)   Club or lodge;

      (10)   Clinic;

      (11)   Farm implement (machinery) (new or used) sales and service area or building;

      (12)   Mortuary;

      (13)   Pet shop;

      (14)   Studio, business (art, interior decorating, music and the like); and

      (15)   Accessory building or use customarily incident to the above uses which may not have more than 40% of its floor area devoted to storage purposes; and, provided that, not more than five persons are employed at one time or on any one shift in connection with such incidental use.

   *NOTE: Local business uses, divisions (F)(1) through (F)(15) above shall be conducted within buildings so constructed that no noise of any kind produced therein shall be audible beyond the confines of the building.

   2.   Contingent uses set forth in §§ 156.385 through 156.388 of this chapter;

   3.   Accessory uses set forth in §§ 156.500 through 156.502 of this chapter; and

   4.   Temporary uses set forth in §§ 156.515 through 156.518 of this chapter.
