A. Receive And Expend Funds: Upon approval of the City Council, the Planning and Zoning Commission may accept, receive, and expend funds, grants and services from the Federal government or agencies and instrumentalities of State or local governments or from civic and private sources and may contract with these entities to provide information and reports as necessary to secure aid. All expenditures by the Planning and Zoning Commission shall be within the amounts appropriated or budgeted by the City Council.
B. Hire Employees, Advisors: The Commission is authorized to employ or hire employees and technical advisors, including but not limited to, legal assistants, planners, engineers, and architects as are deemed necessary for its work and consistent with their budgetary limitations. (1980 Code § 3.2.6)
