A. Permit Required: It shall be unlawful for any person to cut, or in any way demolish any sidewalk, curb, gutter and/or curb and parking for any purpose whatsoever without first securing a permit from the Public Works Director so to do.
B. Application For Permit: Said person shall make application to the Public Works Director by giving the location of the proposed work to be done and the purpose for which the same is to be used.
C. Permit Issuance; Conditions: If the Public Works Director grants such request, he may issue a permit for the work to be done, but such cutting or demolition shall not cover over fifty percent (50%) of the property frontage of the applicant; provided however, that if more than fifty percent (50%) of the property frontage is to be cut, the said application shall be submitted to the City Council for its approval.
