6-3-18: ENGINE COMPRESSION BRAKES:
   A.   Engine Compression Brakes Prohibited: No person shall, while operating a motor vehicle within the city, apply or otherwise use "jake brakes", engine compression brakes, or any similar braking system which emits a clearly audible noise when measured at a distance of fifty feet (50') directly from the source. "Engine compression brakes" are defined as a braking system which uses compressed air from a motor vehicle's engine to slow the vehicle.
   B.   Penalty: Any person who violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor as defined in Idaho Code section 18-113, as amended from time to time. (Ord. 534, 8-19-2008)
