3-4-4: RECORDS OPEN FOR INSPECTION:
   A.   Junk And Secondhand Dealers: All junk dealers, secondhand storekeepers and secondhand precious metal dealers shall daily keep the following written records:
      1.   An accurate description of all personal property purchased.
      2.   The name, residence, age, general description, signature, driver's license number, or social security number, of the person from whom any article of personal property is purchased or received.
      3.   Date when such property was purchased or acquired.
      4.   The date when such property is disposed of, and the name and address of the person receiving the same. (1980 Code § 5.7.6)
   B.   Pawnbrokers: All pawnbrokers licensed under this Chapter must daily keep the following written records:
      1.   An accurate description of all personal property the security upon which money is loaned or advanced.
      2.   The name, residence, age, general description, signature, driver's license number, or social security number, of the person from whom any article of personal property is purchased or received.
      3.   The date when such property is disposed of, and the name and address of the person receiving the same.
   C.   Police Authority To Inspect: Such records must be kept open for inspection by a sworn police officer during business hours, and no proprietor or keeper of such places of business shall refuse to permit any officer, having authority to do so, to inspect such records. (1980 Code § 5.7.7)
