1311.08 ENTRY AND INSPECTION OF DWELLINGS AND OTHER BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES.
   The Zoning Inspector and/or the Union County Building Inspector is hereby authorized and directed to make inspections to determine the condition of all structures and premises located within the Village so that he may perform his duties, safeguarding the health and safety of occupants of the structures and the general public. For the purpose of making such inspections and upon showing appropriate identification, the Union County Building Inspector is hereby authorized to enter, examine and survey, at any reasonable hour, buildings and structures in the Village. The owner or occupant of any building or structure or person in charge thereof shall give the Zoning Inspector and/or Union County Building Inspector access to such building or structure at any reasonable hour for the purpose of inspecting, examination and survey. If refused, the Zoning Inspector and/or the Union County Building Inspector may apply to competent authority for a search warrant. Every occupant of a building or structure shall give the owner thereof, or his agent or employee, access to any part of said building or structure at any reasonable hour for the purpose of making such repairs or alterations as are necessary to effect compliance with the provisions of this chapter or any lawful order issued pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.
