(a) The Village Council finds it necessary to enact no smoking areas within the Richwood Park to preserve public peace, safety and health of the residents of the Village.
(b) There shall be no smoking within 100 feet of the perimeters of the ball fields and playgrounds.
(c) No smoking signs shall be posted in all areas designated as no smoking areas.
(d) The no smoking ordinance includes smoking cigarettes, cigars, pipes and e-cigarettes.
(e) The Village Council authorizes the Village Administrator to work with the UCHD in acquiring signage and in posting the signage in Richwood Park playgrounds and Ballfields.
(f) A violation of this section constitutes a minor misdemeanor.
(g) Penalty. The penalty and definition for a minor misdemeanor are set forth in Ohio Revised Code Section 2921.21 and the above offense will be enforced in accordance with the provisions of ORC 2921.21.
