921.02 WATER RECONNECTIONS.
   (a)   A bill will become delinquent fifteen days after the billing date. A late penalty of ten percent (10%) of such charges will be added on bills not paid when due. Estimated bills will be calculated on actual usage of the prior quarter.
   (b)   If the water bill remains delinquent after fifteen days of the billing date, a disconnect notice will be mailed to the property owner and/or renter. This notice will allow seven days for payment before disconnection.
   (c)   On the date of the disconnect, the serviceman will proceed to the residence and will disconnect the service unless the payment of the delinquent balance has been paid in full prior to the disconnect date. Additionally, the following shall apply:
      (1)   No payment will be accepted by the serviceman.
      (2)   If no one is at home, door hangers will be hung, when practical, and the service disconnected.
   (d)   If water service is disconnected due to nonpayment of the monthly bill, a reconnection fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) plus the total delinquent balance shall be paid prior to the reconnection of water service. All reconnection must be completed during regular service hours which are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If water service is voluntarily terminated at the property owner’s request, a reconnection fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) shall be assessed.
   (e)   All payments shall be made during regular office hours which are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
   (f)   Any water and sewer bills not paid shall be certified to the Auditor of Union County, who shall place the same on the tax duplicates of said County, with interest and said penalties allowed by law, and shall be collected as other taxes are collected.
