All alarm system components in use with any regulated alarm system must be of an approved type to obtain a permit. (All component types will be approved when the ordinance first becomes effective). Alarm system components found to be responsible for an excessive number of false alarms may be restricted or prohibited on new permits and restricted or prohibited from further use with existing permits by written notice to the affected permit holders. The permit holder shall have 30 days to make necessary changes and submit a revised permit application form using only acceptable alarm system components. If the permit holder fails to respond, the permit shall be revoked by notice sent by registered mail.
