§ 59.066 GREASE, OIL AND SAND INTERCEPTORS.
   (A)   Grease, oil, sand interceptors and separators, sand traps or retainers shall be provided when required by the State Uniform Plumbing Code, District Standards or when in the opinion of the Director, they are necessary for the proper handling of liquid wastes containing grease, oils or sand in excessive amounts, or any flammable wastes, or other harmful ingredients, except that the traps or retainers shall not be required for private living quarters or dwelling units. All traps shall be of a type and capacity according to the State Uniform Plumbing Code, district standards and the Director and shall be located so as to be readily and easily accessible for cleaning and inspection.
   (B)   These devices shall be constructed of impervious material capable of withstanding abrupt and extreme changes in temperature. They shall be of substantial construction, water-tight and equipped with easily removable covers which when bolted in place shall be gas-tight and water-tight.
   (C)   Where installed, these devices shall be maintained by the owner, at his or her expense, in continuously efficient operation at all times.
