The connection of the building sewer into the public sewer shall be made at the “Y” branch designated for that property, if such a branch is available at a suitable location. If the public sewer is 12 inches in diameter or less and no properly located “Y” branch is available, the owner shall, at his or her expense, install a “Y” branch in the public sewer or make the connection of an approved type at a location approved by the Director. All connections shall be made in accordance with district standards.
