(a) Any person, firm, partnership, or corporation convicted of violating any section of this chapter shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned not more than six months, or both, for each offense. Each day the violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense.
(b) The Commissioner of Building, Zoning and Housing may provide written notice ordering any person, firm, partnership or corporation in noncompliance with any provision of this chapter to cease and desist construction until that person, firm, partnership or corporation complies with the provisions of this chapter.
