(a) Collect Organization Metrics. The Committee shall work with City staff to determine appropriate metrics to support successes and develop data to determine future goals.
(b) Assess and Prioritize. The Committee shall assess and prioritize short and long term vision and goals and develop and make recommendations to the Council for capital improvement projects in its annual report.
(c) Create Partnerships. The Committee shall invite and seek advice from other community, county and regional organizations.
(d) Grant Awards. The Committee shall cooperate with the federal and state governments and any other entities in the pursuit of grants for the purchase and improvement of City property and capital.
(e) Other Powers. In addition to those duties and powers specified above, the Committee may, with Council approval and supervision:
(1) Solicit, recommend and assist in the receipt by the City of gifts and donations of real and personal property, including money for the purpose of facilitating its goals and visions.
(2) Recommend and assist in the acquisition for the City by purchase, bequest, or donation, properties of a scientific and/or technological nature.
(3) Promote, educate, and provide advocacy for responsible use of technology.
